Gooooo Dragons!

Talan has started soccer this year .....and he is adorable!

We are a team of all boys and usually get creamed the second a girl steps on the field! The boys would rather run around the field acting like monsters or sticking their fingers in mud puddles and collecting leaves!

Perhaps Talan will not be the next David Beckham due to skill but he definitely looks good in the uniform and we will always be his biggest fans!

A Diva is Born

A little more than 3 weeks before her due date Tenley Cailin Bitton decided she was ready to enter the world!

On February 7, 2011 our redheaded diva made her grand entrance and Talan was immediately the BEST big brother in the world....

and I was officially no longer the number one girl in Adam's heart (and after 11 1/2 years this was hard for me to grasp)!

Little Momma - we are so happy to have you join our family!!!

Christmas....

I have to start this out with a funny story. Throughout the Christmas season I had been telling Talan that Santa was going to be coming to his house with presents if he was a nice boy. After my mom heard me saying this a couple times she mentioned that I should teach him about why we celebrate Christmas. So Tal and I were in the car one morning and I told him that the reason we celebrate is because it's Jesus' birthday...he thought this over for a second and then replied "Mom, you need to go to the store and get Jesus his OWN presents!" Kids are so cute...but mine is down right hilarious!

Adam and I were SUPER excited for Christmas this year. Last year we were in New York over the holiday so we didn't put up a tree or any decorations and Talan was still pretty young to grasp everything. Needles to say, we felt as though this year we had some making up to do and we wanted to make it memorable for our little guy!

When we went to pick out a tree we were greeted by Santa Claus who graciously (for $5) took a picture with Talan and let him ring his reindeer bells.

On Christmas Eve I of course had to do the tradition of opening up one present...

...Christmas pj's!

Santa's most handsome elf, Adam, stayed up very late assembling the new bed and helping wrap the remaining presents!

Talan was so cute when he came down the stairs...
a new bike!
Walking around deciding what to open...

Trying out his new big boy Cars bed!

Rico had to try it out too...

After opening gifts at our house we went over to White Papa's and Grandma's! We had brunch and had a nice morning watching Talan open presents!

Great Grandpa and Grandma Dunford....aren't they adorable!

Then we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner...and of course more presents!

We celebrated Christmas with my Mom that Sunday. Here's my little stud on the way to church.
Beautiful Nanna....so excited for her Shark Steamer.
Unfortunately Nonnie was sick but we had a great time chatting, cooking, and spending time at her house!
We are truly blessed with so many people that love Talan. He is by far the most spoiled child in the world but he deserves it!!!

Thanksgiving in Oahu

Well since I just started this - and I'm treating it like a journal - I thought I would backtrack a little to some of the fun we have been having.

My father in law turned the big 5-0 this November so in celebration the Bitton fam all traveled to Hawaii to celebrate over Thanksgiving. It was hard for me to be away from my side of the family but well worth it.

The main focus of the trip for Talan was that he was going to get to go to the beach again (as he had gone with "White Papa" and wanted to go again). So when he finally saw sand there was no holding back and he stripped down to a diaper to go into the water. Thankfully Blake and Chelsie were there to brave the waters with our little streaker.

Throughout our FABULOUS time in paradise we:

Beached it...

Partied for Papa...

Went to a Luau for Thanksgiving...

Went to Pearl Harbor...

And had adventures all over the island...

All in all we had a great time. The trip was cut way too short as I had to return to work but we were so thankful to spend time with all the family. As Talan loved to say....ALOHA!

Inspired

After following my good friend Becca's blog I have become inspired to create my own. I have heard that this can be turned into a journal and since I don't journal, scrapbook, do anything creative (nor do I have any desire to do so), or have a hobby - this seemed like something that might be fun. Now that I'm out of school I have a lot more time on my hands and I am able to spend more time with my boys so this will help me document our lives.
